| my activity | Eskimo responded to a discussion called Are Coupons Really Worth It? in grocery shopper. 2 months ago I use coupons when I can. I really object to paying the full price for anything. If you think about it, the profits most companies make is extortionate, so its only fair that they give something back in coupons.
I only use the ones that I need for goods that I am going to buy anyway. Last week had coupons for 50% off at PizzaHut, so that was good value. The place was full,(on a day that was ... | | Eskimo responded to a discussion called Did You Or Will You Donate Any Points To Red Cross To Help Haiti? in mypoints.com. 2 months ago I donated £1 from my PayPal account, (not much I know), however I also donated more from my Charity Card Account. It would be a nice gesture if all Mylot members donated £1 or $1 from their Mylot or PayPal accounts, that could mean over $200,000 from Mylot members alone.
Together we can help make a better world. | | Eskimo responded to a discussion called Lidl company policy in shopping. 4 weeks ago I didn't know that was their policy. I live in the centre of town with a number of shops, I've almost always gone home with bags from each individual shop. She who must be obeyed at all times gets upset at this and would prefer to stagger from shop to shop with full bags, rather than take them home individually.
If not allowing full shopping bags is Lidl policy then I will have one very ups... | | Eskimo responded to a discussion called Pricey Printer Ink in computer. 4 weeks ago Buying ink from the printer's makers is very expensive,[em]sad[/em] probably cheaper just buying a new printer every time you need a refill. However there are plenty of sites on the internet which sell compatable ink (usually as good or even better quality as originals).
Not sure of the cost in U.S. but I can get a set of 4 Full Sets ofcartridges (16 in total) for my Epson for £19.99.... | | Eskimo responded to a discussion called MyLot's new emoticons in alice_in_webland. 4 weeks ago Hi Alice, I hadn't noticed they have been changed[em]duncecap[/em], however now that you've brought them to my attention, I will have much fun using them.
Nice to see you back,[em]hugs[/em] although as I had not logged in recently, I hadn't realised that you had left and re-joined, although I had not got any e-mails about posts from you, I just assumed that you had stopped posting as you sa... | | Eskimo responded to a discussion called Is Windows 7 Going To Be another Vista? in computer. 2 weeks ago I haven't upgraded to Window's 7 because there are so many programmes which don't run on it. Some versions of Windows 7 will run programmes as Window's XP if the programmes don't run on W7 (W7 starter doesn't have this capability, not sure of W7 Home has it either, but the more expensive ones do). I don't think earlier versions of Microsoft Office can run on it at all.
I think this is Micro... | | Eskimo responded to a discussion called Compensation from Lidl in alice_in_webland. 2 weeks ago £5 is not a lot of compensation for the humiliation that you must have felt, but it is still better than nothing.[em]thumbup[/em]
I had a problem last year when I went to eat in a carvery with some work friends. They advertise 3 different types of meat (A roast, turkey (or chicken) and ham). I don't like roast meat, and never eat anything with wings (except for midges of course[em]lol[/em])... | | Eskimo commented in a discussion called Lidl company policy in shopping. 4 weeks ago This shows the difference between U.S. English, and Scottish English (their are also some differences between Scottish English and English English).
There used to be some supermarkets in Scotland that didn't even allow you to bring in empty shopping bags (the bags had to be left at the exit/entrance to be re-claimed later). Needless to say these supermarkets have all closed down. | | Eskimo received a best response in the discussion Going to the Doctors. by vonmac. 4 weeks ago It would be helpful if the doctor actually spoke English, don't see the point of having one who doesn't understand what is wrong with you. However under EEC rules, it is illegal to reject a doctor from any country in the European Community even if they cannot speak a word of English.[em]sad[/em]
Doctors from outside the EEC must take an English Test (including those from Canada, Australia o... | | | | | | | | http://eskimo-eskimo.blogspot.com/

Wind farms are sprouting in the U.K. at a massive rate, and while a few actually look nice, massive numbers of turbines cause a ‘blot on the landscape’.
